William Prentice
CEO of ASCA
 
William Prentice is the CEO of Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, a position he has held since October 2010. As CEO, he increased membership numbers and bolstered the organization's advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.
His career started in Washington, D.C. He worked for a Congressional member and on the House Committee staff. He served as a senior executive at other national and state associations.
Mr. Prentice earned his JD at Rutgers School of Law in Newark, N.J.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
Eric Woomer

Eric Woomer is a governmental affairs consultant and lobbyist with extensive senior leadership experience advising legislators at the state and national level as well as business interests ranging from Fortune 100 companies to trade associations to family-owned businesses. He is well-regarded for his ability to research, analyze and synthesize issues quickly to design innovative public policy, and he offers his clients tactical political counsel as well as pragmatic solutions to achieve their policy goals.
 
 

 
 
Alisha Morrison
Manager, Business Development, Ambulatory Care Services
 

 Alisha Morrison is the Business Development Manager for Ambulatory Care Services at The Joint   Commission. In this role, she focuses on developing strong relationships with ambulatory   accreditation customers, with an emphasis on ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and medical   groups. Ms. Morrison plays a significant role in maintaining ongoing relationships with ambulatory   surgery management firms and has been influential in the growth of ASCs applying for Joint   Commission’s orthopedic certification.

Ms. Morrison has been with The Joint Commission for over two years. Prior to joining The Joint   Commission, she was a sales operations manager for a specialty at retail pharmacy company.  
Ms. Morrison holds a bachelor’s degree in HealthCare Management from Robert Morris University   and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Health. She is also trained in The Joint Commission’s Robust Process Improvement (RPI®) and has earned her Yellow Belt Certification.
 

 
 
Tarin English
 Assistant Director, Regulatory Compliance, AAAHC
 
Tarin English joined AAAHC in May 2008 and, in her tenure, has served in many roles within the  organization. She currently serves as Assistant Director, Regulatory Compliance, having primary responsibility for ensuring AAAHC’s compliance with federal and state‐specific regulatory requirements, including overseeing the AAAHC Medicare Deemed Status program. Woodrow "Woody" Moore
Owner, The Physicians Advocate, Founder, Texas and Hawaii ASC Societies
 
 For 30 years Woodrow “Woody” M. Moore has been recognized nationally as “The Physician’s  Advocate. Mr. Moore diplomatically, yet tenaciously facilitates formation of   physician partnerships, leads start-up initiatives of licensed/accredited facilities and provides transitional management to troubled facilities. Woody helps physicians envision and establish operations for new Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Medical Real Estate ventures, Imaging Centers, Freestanding Emergency Centers and Micro-Hospitals to create physician-ventured Integrated Delivery Systems. He is the Founder and Past Executive Director of the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society, Founder and current Executive Director of the Hawaii ASC Association Mr. Moore currently serves as an enlisted soldier in the Texas State Guard providing volunteer-leadership for disaster-related humanitarian relief missions. Moore was recognized as Oklahoma Hospital Association’s Outstanding Healthcare Administration Graduate Student at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Becker’s ASC Review publication recognized Mr. Moore as a “CEO-To-Know”. He speaks regularly at key healthcare conferences to both teach and learn from today’s sector leaders.

 
 
 Dianne M Buffington, BSN, RN, CNOR
Regional Clinical Quality Manager, SCA
With over 30 years in healthcare, Dianne has held a vast array of nursing roles from bedside nursing to DON.  Currently serving as Regional Clinical Quality Manager for over 20 Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Dianne supports the facility leadership and quality teams in developing and sustaining process improvement plans and maintaining quality outcomes with a focus on patient safety.    The mother of four grown boys, Dianne enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and lounging in her backyard oasis.
 
 
 
 

 
 
Amy Kyle
Senior Director, Managed Care, USPI
  
Amy Kyle began her healthcare career as a facility accountant with USPI in 2001 before managing a business office at one of USPI’s top performing ASC’s in North Texas.  She then spent time traveling as an Internal Auditor before settling in Houston where she oversees the managed care responsibilities for South Texas and Louisiana.  Amy is currently a TASCS Board Member and actively participates on the Legislative Affairs Committee.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
Clinton Fume, CVA
Managing Director, BUSINESS VALUATION & TRANSACTION ADVISORY, VMG Health

 

Clinton Flume is a Managing Director at VMG Health in the Dallas office. Over his 12 year tenure, his focus has been on developing client relationships and providing valuation, transaction advisory, due diligence and operational consulting services in the healthcare services industry. He has significant experience with the physician practice, post-acute, cancer centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and diagnostic imaging segments. Mr. Flume also has experience valuing intangible assets such as brand/trade name, certificate of needs (CON) and non-compete agreements. Mr. Flume’s clients include academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, for-profit and not-for-profit health systems, ancillary services providers, development companies across several healthcare industry sub-specialties, and other publicly owned and privately held healthcare entities.

Mr. Flume is also a contributing author in the The Healthcare Executive’s Simple Guide to FMV published in 2017 in conjunction with the ABA Health Law section. Mr. Flume’s contributing chapters include inpatient rehabilitation facilities and professional physician practices.

Mr. Flume received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the Texas Christian University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He has achieved the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analyst (NACVA) and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.


 

 
 
Steven Sheinman, MD
 
Dr. Sheinman is the Chief of Anesthesia and the Medical Director of the North Miami Beach Surgery Center. He also serves as the National Medical Director of Ambulatory Anesthesia for Envision Physician Services.  Dr. Sheinman was a founding partner of Sheridan Healthcare for which he has served in a variety of clinical leadership and administrative positions.  In 2007, he transitioned his practice from an inpatient tertiary care hospital to a free standing ASC and subsequently formed the 

division of Ambulatory Anesthesia of Sheridan Healthcare, a division of Envision Physician Services. Dr. Sheinman attended Medical School at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed his Anesthesia Residency at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital.

 
 

 
 
Julia Grove, CRNA
Chief CRNA for Capitol Pain Institute
 
 
 
Julia graduated from Fort Worth-based Texas Wesleyan University and underwent clinical training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Calif. She attended OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with a focus on pediatrics.
 She has provided independent anesthesia coverage for Center for Specialty Surgery of Austin since April of 2018. She provides a full spectrum of anesthesia care independently from pre-op visit through PACU discharge, in an ambulatory surgical center for a variety of cases including plastics, pain, podiatry, hands, and opthalmic surgery.
 
 
 
 
 

 
Marta Shultz,
VP of Quality, Simplify ASC & Invited Customers

Marta Shultz is currently Vice President Quality at Simplify ASC.  She works with Ambulatory Surgery Center staff to help them efficaciously find opportunities for improvement in data collection and reporting.  
 Marta has worked in all areas of healthcare via the Laboratory, Quality, Risk Management and   Administration.  Her regulatory expertise is derived from eons of time spent collecting, interpreting   and submitting data to various regulatory bodies, first on the facility side and then from the vendor side, to insure product meets regulatory and facility needs
  
 
 

 
 
Amit Jiwani, 
Director, Analytics SIS 

Amit Jiwani is Director of Analytics for Surgical Information Systems (SIS). Amit manages and guides the analytics product portfolio, which allows SIS clients better manage their perioperative business through improved visibility into the data and leveraging business intelligence technology. His team designs and implements technology solutions to deliver actionable insights to drive operational efficiency, financial success, and clinical excellence. He is a frequent author and speaker on the topic of perioperative analytics. Prior to SIS, Amit was with The Advisory Board Company in the perioperative business intelligence practice. In this role, he provided clients with analysis of their operations and best practices to affect positive and sustainable change. Amit received his Masters of Public Health from Boston University and Bachelors of Science from Georgia Tech.
 
 

John Morgan

 As Vice President of Business Development at HST Pathways, John is responsible for sales activities and relationships for both enterprise and independent ASC's. Lien Nguyen, RT(R) 
Facility Administrator, Bay Area Vascular Center/Azura Surgical Center Houston

 

 

Lien Nguyen, RT(R) is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and started working as a radiologic technologist in the OR and CT in 2003.  Due to the loss sustained with Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Houston, Texas in 2006.  With the loss came opportunity as she started working in the vascular access center setting and found her love for interventional nephrology.  She started at Bay Area in 2007 as a rad tech and is currently is the Facility Administrator of Bay Area ASC.  She enjoys spending time with her three children, taking long naps, and watching movies.

 

 

 

 

 


 

David Dorleans
President, Medbridge Transport

Medbridge Transport was founded by an experienced corporate executive, David Dorleans.  A former Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young, and Senior Consultant at Accenture and Booz Allen Hamilton, David answered a calling to help seniors in need. Inspired by the assisted transportation needs of his mother, David launched Medbridge Transport in response to the lack of adequate, timely, and cost-effective solutions for area seniors.

A graduate of George Washington University, David has studied, lived and worked throughout the United States and internationally. Such experiences have afforded David great exposure to diverse people, cultures, and circumstances. In meeting, learning, and working with everyone from corporate executives to independent operators, David has gained unique leadership and team-building skills that are sure to enhance Medbridge Transport and relationships with area facilities and seniors.

 


 

Lynne Miller
CEO-Administrator , Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Center Heritage

Lynne Miller is the Chief Executive Officer and Administrator at Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Center Heritage, a joint venture facility with North Texas Orthopedics, Texas Health Resources, and Surgical Care Affiliates located in Fort Worth, Texas.   Lynne graduated from Baylor University and has 11 years of experience in Ambulator Surgery Center leadership as a Director of Nurses and an Administrator along with 25 years of patient care experience in the Operating Room and preop/PACU.   Lynne is passionate about creating an atmosphere of support and empowerment for her teams.   When Lynne isn’t leading at the surgery center, she spends time with her blended family – husband Jeff and their 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls).  You can reach Lynne at [email protected].

 

 

 


Keith Gruebele

Keith Gruebele is an innovative and driven executive with more than 22 years of finance experience. As Senior Vice President BHG Patient Lending, he builds strategic relationships with ambulatory surgical centers to implement an industry-leading patient lending program to help them increase revenue and improve the patient experience.

Keith is passionate about empowering people to be their best and helping facilities achieve their highest potential. He is an excellent communicator who has been tapped as a speaker and contributor for industry events, podcasts, and publications. He is a certified MBTI professional, a certified coach, certified trainer by Les Brown Institute, and a member of the Tony Robbins Mastery University.

 


 

Lisa Sinsel, MSN, RN
Sr Director, Clinical Services, Surgical Care Affiliates

 Lisa has worked in healthcare for over 25 years. She began her nursing career in the acute care setting working with cardiac patients before transitioning to the ASC setting where she has spent the past 18 years, serving in a variety of clinical and quality leadership roles. Lisa currently serves as a Sr. Director of Clinical Services for Surgical Care Affiliates where she is responsible for evaluating, selecting, and deploying system wide clinical applications, data and performance analysis, strategic planning, oversight of organization quality outcomes reporting, and benchmarking. Additionally, she has developed clinical quality related policies, tools and resources, and leads and serves a team of highly talented nurse and analyst leaders. Lisa holds a graduate degree in Nursing, majoring in Nursing Informatics, serves on the ASC Quality Collaboration’s Technical Expert Committee, and is extremely passionate about patient safety, continuous improvement, and investing in the betterment of others.
