Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society (TASCS) President Adam Hornback, RN, BSN has been out and about this spring, working hard to promote the society and industry.
In April, he met up with TASCS Executive Director Krista DuRapau and fellow board members, Sunshine Moore, Maggie Jeffries, MD and Rick Ngo, MD, to staff an exhibit booth at the Texas Medical Association’s annual TexMed conference.
“It was a lot of fun,” Hornback said. “We got to connect with some old friends and meet some new friends who want to get involved with TASCS; growing the membership and involvement is my top priority. We also met some really cool new vendors and are excited to have them come to our conference in August.”
Hornback then traveled to Austin to meet with Joe Esparza, Chairman and Commissioner Representing
Employers at the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
“This was a great meeting,” he stated. “The TWC has a lot of opportunities and grants to help upskill staff, create apprenticeships, and get more healthcare workers into ASCs, in order to gain experience and clinical hours. We look forward to having the Commissioner and his team join us this August to tell us more about what the state has to offer.”
