The committee members are often asked to make Capitol visits to communicate information about TASCS and our membership. They also have an active role in rallying membership for participation in Capitol Day during legislative years. Programs & Education CommitteeThe programs and education committee helps to identify topics, speakers, events, exhibits, and sponsorships for the annual conference, the infection control conference, and any other educational opportunities. The committee is responsible for increasing attendance and sponsors, and if necessary, the committee members may be asked to provide assistance during the conference.
MembershipThe purpose of the membership committee is to identify strategies to increase membership and to serve TASCS members in the best possible way. Committee members help to identify potential members and suggest marketing strategies and materials. Committee members also help to identify possible benefits and new services for TASCS members. TASCS PAC BoardThe TASCS PAC board is responsible for the actions of the political action committee, managing its funds and determining how they are allocated. The decision to make a distribution is based upon a candidate’s position on healthcare and the ASC industry, voting, bill sponsorship history, committee assignments and/or chairmanship, and legislative district.
