Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society (TASCS) is a  member-supported advocacy association for Texas surgery centers. TASCS serves as a resource for surgery center management and professional education. The mission of the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society is to advocate for the ambulatory surgery industry; provide education, promote legislation, offer regulatory information and resources; assist with operational optimization; and promote optimal surgical care for our patients at an affordable cost.

What is an ASC?

An ambulatory surgery center is a healthcare facility that performs outpatient surgical procedures for patients who do not require an overnight stay. The first ambulatory surgery center opened in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1970 (via Ambulatory Surgery Center Association).
