Susan Cheek has served as the Administrator of the Dallas Endoscopy Center and IV Anesthesia Services since 2006.Susan is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Healthcare Compliance Consultant and Certified Administrator Surgery Center.
A graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Accounting, Susan also serves on the Texas ASC Society and Ambulatory Surgery Center Association PAC Committees.

Dallas Freyer, R.N., C.A.S.C., Vice President

Dallas Freyer has served as the Administrator of Corpus Christi Outpatient Surgery since 2004 and also serves as the Administrator of Surgicare of Corpus Christi. Dallas is a Registered Nurse and Certified Administrator Surgery Center.

A graduate of Del Mar College Registered Nursing program Dallas also serves on the Texas ASC Society Programs & Education committee as well as a board member on the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center PAC.

Michael Yeary, CPA

VP, Development, United Surgical Partner International

Michael Yeary has served as Vice President of Development for United Surgical Partners International since 2004. Prior to that time he served as Chief Restructuring officer for Physicians Resource Group (PRG) a NYSE Company and PROMEDCO a NASDQ Company from 2000 to 2004. From February 1996 until 2000, Mr. Yeary held several positions with PRG including Regional Vice President, Interim Accounting Manager, President and Board Member. From 1989 to February 1996, he was the Chief Financial Officer for an Ophthalmic Group in Houston, Texas. From 1981 to 1989, Mr. Yeary served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for a commercial real estate development and investment company with operations in industries related to commercial real estate, manufacturing and oil and gas.
Previously, Mr. Yeary served in a variety of capacities in retail and public accounting with Deloitte and Touche, LLP. Mr. Yeary is a Certified Public Accountant and received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Lamar University. He was also a Director of a National Bank.

James McClung is a Texas Nursing Board Licensed Registered Nurse. James has been in the nursing profession for 16 years and is the Nurse Administrator of Center for Specialty Surgery of Austin (CSSA. As the Nurse Administrator for CSSA, James enjoys creating and supporting a safe and efficient environment for our community. He supports ASCs because he feels they are a more personalized environment where each procedure is specialized and completed with the utmost care and sophistication.

Maggie Jefferies, MD

Dr. Jeffries is a private practice Anesthesiologist in Houston, Texas. She received her anesthesia training at Johns Hopkins University, during which she served as a Resident Member of the American Society of Anesthesiology and the ACGME Resident Review Committee that reviews and certifies residency programs.

Following graduation, she became an Assistant Professor at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she specialized in Pediatrics and Neuroanesthesia. During that time, she was an active contributor to diverse areas of research, including cerebral oximetry, post-dural puncture headache, infectious disease, and liver failure. She is a published author in several national journals, including Regional Anesthesia, Journal of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, The Neurologist, and Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, The Neurologist, Liver Transplantation and Surgery, and Anesthesiology News.

In private practice since 2010, Dr. Jeffries has extensive experience in anesthesia for ambulatory and office based surgery. A partner in Avanti Anesthesia, she is active in all aspects of medical care including medical director, medication and equipment ordering, electronic documentation and quality improvement. Current projects for 2018 include a randomized trial of a new medication for sedation using the sublingual route.

Adam Hornback, RN, CASCS

Administrator of North Texas Team Care Surgery Center in Mesquite Texas since 2012. Adam is an operating room nurse who has been in the ambulatory surgery center environment for about 15 years.


Ryan G. Vaughn

Senior Vice President, ASC Strategy
U.S. Anesthesia Partners

Ryan currently operates as the Senior Vice President for ASC development and strategy within US Anesthesia Partners.  His role is on a national level working with all geographies that US Anesthesia Partners currently cover with Texas being a top focus.  Prior to joining US Anesthesia Partners, Ryan served as the Vice President of Operations for Surgical Care Affiliates (a United Health Group organization) working on currents assets in multiple markets as well denovos, mergers and acquisitions.  Ryan thrives on the opportunity to serve on the board for the TASCS and help make a difference one day at a time for a Healthcare Industry that is critical for our generation and so many more to come.
