2027 marks the 90th legislative session in Texas. Each year thousands of bills are filed and a significant portion of these bills affect healthcare in Texas and directly affect ASCs.  

 
Bills that will directly affect the ASC industry include: 
- Cash Prices / -Facility Fees
- Price Transparency
-Prior Authorization / Network Adequacy
- Non compete contracts/ Private Equity
 
On Tuesday, February 23rd, TASCS will lead members to the Capitol to discuss these key topics and bills with Legislators. We hope that you will join us to help represent the ASC industry and protect patients access to care in Texas.

Attendees will be invited to a webinar the week before Capitol Day to review critical bills and talking points with our lobby tea

Day Of 

  • 7:00 AM Meet at South Capitol Steps for coordination
  • Wear clothes that are representative of you and your center. Logo shirts, Scrubs, etc.
  • Attendees will gather with fellow members and our lobby team to review critical bills and talking points before heading off to meetings
  • Join your team and head to scheduled meetings with legislative offices. Together, you’ll share the real-life stories behind why these bills matter for the healthcare of Texans.
  •  Engage in meaningful discussions highlighting how ASC advancements are vital for affordable, high-quality healthcare in Texas.
  • Wrap up the day with the entire group to share wins and toast to the progress we’re making for the ASC industry and the communities we serve.
